SCRIPTURE
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" — John 14:6 (NKJV)
TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL
When Jesus says He is the Life, He is not referring merely to biological existence. He is speaking of zoe — the God-kind of life, life in its fullness, life as God Himself experiences it. Jesus came, He said, so that we might have life and have it abundantly. This is the life that death could not contain, the life that burst forth from the tomb on the third morning, the life that is now available to every person who calls on His name. It is not just life after death — it is life right now, in the midst of every circumstance.
There are people who are physically alive but internally empty — going through the motions of existence without vitality, purpose, or joy. Jesus came to address that emptiness at its root. He is the Life because He is the source from which all genuine living flows. Every moment of real laughter, real love, real courage, real creativity, and real purpose draws from Him, whether people know it or not. But those who consciously abide in Jesus the Life experience that vitality in a way that circumstances cannot diminish.
Call on Jesus today as the Life. If you have felt empty, flat, or merely surviving rather than truly living, call on the One who is Life itself. He breathes life into dry bones — He proved it in Ezekiel's valley and He proves it still. Let Him breathe into the areas of your life that have felt lifeless. Let His resurrection life flow through your spirit, your relationships, your calling, and your body today. He is the Life — and He is offering it to you in abundance.
