SCRIPTURE
"But one of the elders said to me, 'Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.'" — Revelation 5:5 (NKJV)
TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL
When heaven fell silent and no one was found worthy to open the scroll of history, one of the elders spoke with calm authority — the Lion of the tribe of Judah has prevailed. Jesus is not merely gentle and meek; He is also the Lion, the sovereign King who triumphs over every power that stands against His people. The tribe of Judah was the royal tribe, the tribe from which kings arose, and Jesus is the ultimate King who came from its lineage. His roar silences every voice of the enemy and every decree of darkness that has been spoken over your life.
The lion is the most fearless of creatures. It does not run from its enemies — it advances toward them. When Jesus entered death, He did not surrender to it; He conquered it from the inside. He took the keys of death and Hades and emerged victorious. That same conquering nature is at work in your life today. Whatever has seemed immovable, whatever has roared against your peace, your family, your health, or your destiny — the Lion of Judah has already prevailed over it.
Call on Jesus today as the Lion of the tribe of Judah. You are not calling on a weak Saviour who hopes for the best. You are calling on the One who has prevailed, settled, done. His victory over sin, death, and every enemy is complete. Let that truth rise in your heart like a roar today. Whatever scroll of impossibility lies before you, the Lion of Judah is worthy to open it, and nothing in heaven, earth, or hell can stop Him.
