TENDERLAND VILLAGE OUTREACH

A place where every child belongs, thrives, and is seen.

A Vision We Are Building Together. 'There Is Hope - His Name Is Jesus

WHO WE ARE: A Vision of Care, Community & Faith

THIS IS OUR VISION - AND WE ARE BELIEVING GOD FOR IT

Tenderland Village does not yet exist as a physical campus. What you read here is the God-given vision of Ministry of Hope Worldwide a future we are actively working and praying toward. We are sharing this vision openly so that those who share our heart can join us in making it a reality through prayer, partnership, and support.

Tenderland Village Outreach is a ministry arm of Ministry of Hope Worldwide a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Aurora, Colorado. Our vision is to bridge a critical gap in care for children with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, and sensory needs, offering not just services, but a home.

We go out to reach families in their moment of need, and we are believing God for a village where they can truly belong. Tenderland is both a mission and a vision grounded in the love of Jesus Christ and the conviction that every child carries the image of God.

A STORY THAT REFLECTS MANY

The Gap Is Real. The Need Is Now

Across Colorado, families raising children with disabilities face a system that too often leaves them without options. The story of one child here called "EO" reflects the reality of thousands.

A FAMILY'S CRISIS

EO was suspended from school due to behavioral dysregulation and remained at home for approximately four months not because his family gave up, but because there were simply no appropriate placement options available

During one period of severe crisis, EO was taken to a hospital for help. Staff determined he did not meet the criteria for psychiatric hospitalization because he expressed no suicidal or homicidal intent. Yet the child and family were clearly in crisis - and there were few alternatives available.

Situations like this leave parents feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and utterly without meaningful support. EO's story is not an exception. It is the reality for far too many families in Colorado and beyond.

This is the gap Tenderland Village Outreach envisions filling with structured support, therapeutic care, educational continuity, and the warmth of a faith community that says: you are not alone. We invite you to help us build it.

THE CHALLENGES WE SEEK TO ADDRESS

Three Areas Where Families Are Left Without Answers

Education & Behavioral Support

Children with developmental and behavioral needs are frequently suspended, transitioned out of schools, or placed on waiting lists with no interim support. Families go months without educational placement — watching their children fall further behind with no clear path forward.

Recreation & Community Inclusion

Many children with disabilities have the same desire to play, explore, and belong as their peers— yet traditional recreational facilities are not designed to accommodate their sensory, behavioral, or developmental needs. Families are made to feel unwelcome, judged, or excluded

Faith & Spiritual Community

Many families cannot participate in church worship because congregations are not equipped to provide sensory-friendly environments or specialized support. This quietly separates children and caregivers from the spiritual fellowship and community life that could sustain them most.

THE FUTURE WE ARE BUILDING

Five Pillars of Whole-Child Care

It is our vision that Tenderland Village will one day be a complete ecosystem of support a real campus on real land where a child can be educated, healed, celebrated, housed, and loved, all in one place. With your support, this can become a reality

Education

Specialized educational services tailored to each child's unique needs, delivered by professionals who deeply understand neurodiversity and developmental differences.

Therapeutic Support

On-site therapeutic care following the school day giving children structured, safe time to process, grow, and develop life and social skills with trained professionals.

Inclusive Recreation

An adaptive athletics arena and inclusive recreational spaces where children can freely play, explore, and compete without fear of exclusion or judgment.

Residential Boarding

A safe, supervised boarding environment where children receive round-the-clock care from trained professionals while building independence, life skills, and lasting relationships.

Sensory - Friendly Worship

A welcoming worship center where children and families experience God's love, dignity, and full belonging - with sensory-friendly accommodations, at no charge.

GLOBAL ALIGNMENT

Rooted in Faith. Aligned with Global Goals.

Tenderland Village is not only a ministry vision - it is a response to globally recognized needs. Our work aligns directly with three United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, affirming that caring for the most vulnerable children is both a Kingdom mandate and a universal human responsibility.

SDG 4 Quality Education

Tenderland Village envisions inclusive, equitable, specialized educational services for children with disabilities - ensuring that no child is left behind or left at home due to a lack of appropriate placement.

SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities

Children with developmental disabilities and their families face systemic inequalities in access to education, recreation, and community life. Tenderland Village is designed to dismantle those barriers with dignity and grace.

SDG 11 Sustainable Cities & Communities

A community is only as strong as its care for its most vulnerable members. Tenderland Village envisions an inclusive, sustainable community space where children and families can thrive together - not merely survive.

A PRESENT NEED

While We Build, We Still Gather

Tenderland Village is our long-term vision but our mission is alive and active today. Ministry of Hope Worldwide is currently in need of a temporary space to gather, fellowship, and begin operating our outreach programs while we work and pray toward the permanent campus.

If you or your organization have access to a space - a church hall, a community room, a facility that could serve as a temporary home for our ministry gatherings and children's outreach activities, we would be deeply grateful for your generosity.

Whether for weekly fellowship, children's programming, workshops, or community events, even a temporary resting place would allow this vision to begin serving families right now - before the Village is built.

"A tent in the wilderness is still shelter. We are trusting God for the promised land - but we welcome any provision along the journey."

It is our vision that Tenderland Village will one day be a real place - real land, real buildings, real lives transformed. A campus where the complex challenges facing children with disabilities and their families are met not with waiting lists and closed doors, but with open arms, trained hands, and the love of Jesus Christ.

We do not have this yet. But we believe God for it and we invite you to believe with us. Through prayer, partnership, financial support, and the grace of God, Tenderland Village will become a beacon of hope, belonging, and restoration.

The need is urgent. The vision is clear. The time to begin is now.
